1965 Porsche 912

At the launch of the 911 model, the car was considered by many customers to be too expensive with its price of DM 22,900. In order to continue satisfying customer requirements, Porsche presented the 912 as the Europe Type in April 1965, so-named because initially it was only available on the European market. Optically the 912 could scarcely be distinguished from the 911. The chassis and the brakes were also almost identical to those of the 911 model. — Porsche
