The Vicari Auction Company’s first-ever auction during Cruisin’ Nocona in North Texas was a big success, with a wide variety of classic and collector vehicles fetching $2.6 million in sales.
Vicari’s top seller from the April 20 sale was a rare 1963 ZO6 Chevrolet Corvette, which had been in storage since the 1980s, with a fuel injected 327-cu.in. V8, big brake option and four-speed transmission, for $260,000. Other significant lots included a 1962 Corvette convertible for $150,000 and a 1954 Buick Skylark, which sold for $100,000.
According to Vicari Auction Company president, Pete Vicari, “I could not be more pleased with the turnout of our first Cruisin’ Nocona Collector Car Auction. The support of the community, local sponsors and the Horton Classic Car Museum made this event a tremendous success, and we look forward to returning next year to host another weekend of fun activities for automotive enthusiasts to enjoy.”
