Looking Good
The new 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class debuted last week. That car featured two powertrains, including a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder and a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. The latter of which is the one to get if you want to go fast. But that’s not the final word for the S-Class. There’s still the AMG variants.
The company is working on a hotter version of the car. There will be an S63e and an S73e. According to Carscoops, these cars will get a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 tuned connected to a mild hybrid system. In the S63e that will put out 700 hp total. The S73e will have a more powerful electric motor and put out 805 hp.
The artist X-Tomi Design recently rendered the S63e, which you can see here. The artist used the 2021 S-Class as the foundation and then reworked the design to give it the AMG treatment. What you get is a lower and more menacing-looking car. While this likely isn’t exactly how the car will look, it certainly has to be close.
There’s no shot of the rear of the car. I’d be willing to bet there will be a quad exhaust, a trunk spoiler, rear diffuser, and some muscular curves. Overall, it’s a handsome design, and if the real car looks like this, Mercedes will have a winner.
