This Car Hasn’t Been Officially Unveiled Yet
The BMW M2 CS has not broken cover yet. It’s been spotted with camo wraps testing, but BMW has yet to officially showcase the upcoming car. With that said, there is a video of the car lapping the Hockenheim Formula 1 circuit. This video is shot behind the wheel of the car, so you can’t see much of the vehicle.
What you can see is how damned fast the car is. The vehicle’s best lap time around the track was 1:55.80. That’s really pretty quick according to Carscoops. In fact, that’s only 0.4 seconds behind the Mercedes-AMG GT S. It’s also faster than the BMW M850i, Porsche Cayman GT4, and the A90 Toyota Supra. It’s 2.1 seconds faster than the current BMW M2 Competition.
The video was posted to Sport Auto’s YouTube channel. It was taken with an action camera mounted on the driver’s helmet. You get to see just how fast the car is. It looks seriously quick and agile out there on the racetrack. It’ll be interesting to see the car and how it performs once BMW is completely finished with it. Judging from this video alone, it looks like it’ll be a serious riot. Check out the video below.
