Believe it or not, it’s been over a year and a half since Alfa Romeo first revealed the Giulia. And yet, it’s still not quite sunk in, has it? After all those years of rehashed front-wheel drive Fiats, suddenly we have an all-new, rear-wheel drive Alfa, sitting on a brand spanking new platform and available with a Ferrari-ish V6. It’s almost too good to be true.
With all that in mind, you can’t help but wonder where the top-of-the-line Giulia Quadrifoglio sits amongst its rivals. That’s what the guys over at Motor Trend wanted to find out, in this head-to-head battle. Since a ‘head-to-head’ doesn’t really work with four cars, the three rival cars – the BMW M3 Competition Pack, Cadillac ATS-V and Mercedes-AMG C63 – fought it out on track, with the winner sent to give the Alfa what-for.
