The F8 Spider, designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre, follows the direction set by the F8 Tributo, serving as a bridge to a new design language that accentuates Ferrari’s core attributes of high performance and extreme aerodynamic efficiency.
At the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds, a test showcased the impressive speed of the F8 Spider in a half-mile. It is equipped with a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 720 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. The sole available gearbox is a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. According to Ferrari’s specifications, the Spider can achieve 0-62 miles per hour in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 210 mph.
During the half-mile run, the F8 Spider reached an impressive speed of 163.916 mph (263.797 kph). For reference, a Porsche 918 Spyder also participated in the same run and reached a speed of 172.658 mph (277.867 kph).
