Australian racer Warwick Brown has had a racing career marked by extreme highs and lows. His career highlights are marked by several F5000 championships, and center-seat Can-Am wins, but a vicious accident early in his career broke his stride, while another later on may have cut his career prematurely short. Our man in Australia, Patrick Quinn, recently sat down with Brown to discuss his star-crossed career and his inherent distrust of racing historic cars.

You’re a driver I remember quite vividly from the early ’70s, Warwick. What prompted you to get into motor racing in the first place?
