Walter Röhrl Drives A Porsche 911 GT3 RS Around Nürburgring

Walter Röhrl, a two-time World Rally Champion, four-time Rally Monte Carlo winner, and member of the FIA Hall of Fame, is widely regarded as one of the greatest drivers in motorsport history. While he gained fame for his dominance in the World Rally Championship during the 1980s, Röhrl has also made significant contributions to motorsport through his association with Audi and Porsche.

Even at 76 years old, Röhrl remains active as a brand ambassador for Porsche, continues to participate in rallies, and enjoys driving, albeit without the pursuit of every last fraction of a second. Recently, he impressively completed a lap around the Nürburgring, pushing a Porsche to its limits and achieving a speed of 262 km/h during the lap.

Credit for this video goes to Nürburgring YouTuber Misha Charoudin, who had the privilege of riding shotgun as Röhrl drove a Porsche 911 GT3 RS from the 992 generation. The 992 GT3 RS is equipped with a 4-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine producing 525 horsepower (386 kW), allowing it to reach a top speed of 296 km/h on the track. Walter Röhrl’s performance was not far behind.
