VIDEO: Manual Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Reviewed

The 2017 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is proper manly exotic car stuff. Small body, huge engine, manual gearbox with a funky pattern, and everything else is a distant second place.

For 2017, Aston made things even more exciting. An even lighter chassis, an even more powerful engine, an even more responsive transmission. 15kg lighter than V12 Vantage with 571PS of power and 620Nm of peak torque. With enhanced low and mid-range power the new-generation AM28 engine pushes the V12 Vantage S to a top speed of 205mph, creating the fastest series production model Aston Martin‘s ever made.

Oh, and it comes with a manual dogleg 7-speed gearbox. Ok, now we’re paying attention. Sportshift III is a seven-speed AMT transaxle gearbox specifically designed to tap the potency of V12 Vantage S. Aston says the transmission is derived from the Vantage GT programme to bring real motorsport engineering and race-car capability to the road.

The V12 Vantage is an unprecedented engineering achievement with its big V12 engine and light sports-car in a package of pure aggression.
