Who is Donkervoort and how did they build a really fast car?

Automobielen BV is a manufacturer of authentic hand-built and ultra lightweight sports cars based in the Netherlands.

Their Donkervoort D8 270 became the successor of the D8 270 RS, the limited edition that was introduced in 2005. The D8 270 has a restyled nose and grill that refer directly to the D8 GT and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 3.6 seconds.

Most notably, it also is one of the fastest cars in the world. As the above video shows, it monstered Nurburgring Nordschleife in 7m 14.9s.
