Urban Automotive, the bespoke modifier of luxury automotive brands, is celebrating its 3,000th conversion of the New Land Rover Defender L663. Land Rover’s popular luxury SUV continues to prove an immense hit with Urban Automotive clients, with the Widetrack option selling over 2,500 ‘kits’ worldwide.
Launched in 2020, Urban Automotive’s styling program for the Land Rover Defender was among the first to individualize one of the most sought-after 4x4s of the moment and is now available to order across 90 and 110 wheelbase variants. Completing the comprehensive line-up, Urban is also introducing its Widetrack ‘kit’ for the highly anticipated New Land Rover Defender 130 from February 2024.
Included in the New Land Rover Defender 130 styling package is an extensive range of Urban’s signature modifications such as an optional vented carbon fiber bonnet, rear roof spoiler, and black styling pack for the bumpers and grille. A choice of four premium performance wheels reinforces the design upgrades, with the all-new WX4 ‘Ballistic’ alloy wheel available in 20” & 22” fitment.
As with all Urban Automotive modification packages, the Urban Widetrack ‘kit’ is designed by an in-house team led by company founder Simon Dearn and follows their ‘OEM+’ mantra, meaning every element complements and elevates the original manufacturer design.
Each kit is produced entirely in the UK, calling on Urban’s highly skilled team and extensive carbon fiber expertise. Urban Automotive manufactures all carbon fiber in-house, using only the highest quality materials for a lasting premium finish and perfect fitment that meets the original manufacturer factory standard, while also offering comprehensive personalization options. For clients looking to commission an Urban conversion, the company manages every step of the process to ensure vehicles are tailored to individual requirements.
As part of the optional interior re-trim, clients can select Recaro CS Sportster front seats and a flat-bottom leather steering wheel, alongside a wide range of trim and color options. Two exclusive limited-edition specifications also make up a small proportion of the conversions sold so far, including the Grasmere Green Signature Series 75th Anniversary, and a run of 65 Urban XRS builds based on the supercharged 5.0-litre Defender V8.
