The LPI 800-4 was built as a tribute to Lamborghini’s original Countach, which made its debut 50 years earlier in 1972. Beneath its carbon fiber body, the car features the Aventador’s chassis and incorporates the hybrid powertrain from the exclusive Sián.
This setup combines a potent 6.5-liter V12 engine with a small electric motor powered by a supercapacitor, producing a total of 802 horsepower. Paired with a seven-speed automated manual transmission, the LPI 800-4 is capable of 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, and reach a top speed of approximately 221 mph.
The LPI 800-4’s exterior is where it truly shines, drawing heavy inspiration from Marcello Gandini’s original Countach design while adapting it to the Aventador’s form. The reshaped side air intakes, finished in contrasting black, emphasize the Countach’s influence, and the sharply angled edges of the wheel arches are unmistakable references to the original.
At the rear, the bumper design continues this homage, with the lower panel sweeping up to meet the taillight inset, featuring three rectangular lights reminiscent of the Countach’s classic rear styling. Up front, slim LED headlights sit behind a clear lens shaped like the turn signal covers on the original Countach, completing the retro-modern look.
With only 112 units produced, all sold before its 2021 debut, the Countach LPI 800-4 is an exceptionally rare model. This particular example, offered by Bring A Trailer, is even more unique, with just 85 miles on the odometer.
It is finished in Ad Personam Oro Eleos over Nero Ade leather and boasts over $78,000 in custom options, including special Oro Eleos badging, stitching, and a gold “1 di 112” console badge. Lamborghini production and design team members have signed the front hood, which also features a gold Countach profile sketch.
Additional features include a gloss carbon-fiber exterior package, electrochromic roof, carbon-ceramic brakes, rear-wheel steering, and a state-of-the-art infotainment system, making this vehicle a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.
