Ultra-Rare Ferrari 599 SA Aperta Heads to Auction

On June 30, Bonhams Cars will be auctioning a stunning 2011 Ferrari 599 SA Aperta as part of their fifth Bonmont Sale.

The 599 SA Aperta is among Ferrari’s most exclusive modern cars, with only 80 units produced, commemorating Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary. Based on the 599 GTB Fiorano, this two-seater roadster featured an upgraded 5,999 cc V-12 engine and a six-speed F1 Superfast gearbox from the limited-edition 599 GTO. With 661 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque, it could sprint from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 202 mph.

The chassis had a 10 mm lower ride height, a thicker rear anti-roll bar, and recalibrated active dampers, along with unique 20-inch wheels and carbon-ceramic brakes. The SA Aperta featured a revised body with a removable carbon fiber roof panel, a more steeply raked windscreen, and aerodynamic fins.

Delivered new via Ferrari Gauduel in Limonest, France, it comes with the original purchase invoice dated September 14, 2011. The car features a Nero Daytona WB508 finish with original buffalo leather and yellow stitching. Notable features include yellow brake calipers and carbon fiber elements in the doors and dashboard.

The first owner, a Swiss Ferrari enthusiast from Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, sold it to the current owner in 2013. Driven sparingly, the car has covered fewer than 4,300 kilometers and is in excellent condition. The Aperta has a full Ferrari service history, with services recorded in August 2013, September 2015, September 2019, and July 2022. The current odometer reading is under 4,300 km.

This exceptional 599 SA Aperta comes with the roof, car cover, charger, Ferrari ‘Red Book,’ cancelled Swiss Carte Grise, Ferrari Certificate of Conformity, and original leather pouch containing the hi-fi system warranty card, sales and service organization, Servizio Assistenza Stradale, Notice d’Entretien, Carnet de Garantie, and Ferrari key code card.
