Ultra-Rare Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport “Soleil de Nuit” To Be Auctioned

A special edition Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport created for the Middle East

The Bugatti Veyron, named after Pierre Veyron who co-drove the winning Type 57C Bugatti in the 1939 24 Hours of Le Mans, became the world’s top supercar upon its 2005 debut. It was the fastest and most expensive production car ever.

The Veyron stunned the automotive world with a top speed exceeding 250 MPH, as tested by Volkswagen and later verified by BBC’s “Top Gear.” Its W-16 engine, generating 1,001 HP with four turbochargers and air-to-liquid intercoolers, enabled the Veyron to accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in 2.6 seconds and complete a quarter mile in 10.2 seconds at 143 MPH, despite its 4,162-pound weight.

The Veyron 16.4 gained popularity in the Middle East, leading to the creation of special editions like the ‘Soleil de Nuit,’ which is scheduled to be offered for sale at RM Sotheby’s upcoming Tegernsee Auction at the end of the month.

Unveiled at the 2009 Dubai International Motor Show, this model featured Polished Aluminium lower bodywork, Black Blue Metallic upper surfaces, Italian Red under the rear wing, and diamond-cut wheels from the ‘Sang Noir’ series. The interior boasted Burnt Orange leather and ‘Soleil de Nuit’ logos.

Initially owned by the Kuwaiti royal family, the car was delivered in February 2010 and serviced annually until 2014. It returned to Molsheim for a service in May 2016 and was later acquired by a German owner in 2016.

Currently displaying 11,624 kilometers, this unique Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport comes with its factory accessory box, speed key, manuals, service book, and car cover. The car is expected to fetch somewhere between $1,600,000 – $2,150,000 USD during the auction.
