Keeping the Classics Alive
The Toyota Supra has a cult following. Fans love the A70 and A80 generation cars, and now Toyota will spend time and resources to reproduce various parts for these cars. It’s a smart move by the company and one that should excite Toyota Supra-lovers everywhere.
The project will be called GR Heritage Parts Project. It will generate parts that have become unavailable in recent years. This move will allow owners of A70 and A80 Supras to be able to keep their cars running and in good condition longer and more easily. Before this, you had to really hunt around on eBay, forums, and other marketplaces to find the parts you needed for your older Supra.
Old Supra values have been climbing and it will be interesting to see how this impacts the price of these cars. Toyota has not yet released a full list of parts, but it did say that it will make parts for cars that rolled off the assembly line from 1986 to 1993. The parts will include commonly needed parts as well as some more obscure components. You will be able to buy the parts online, or you can take your car to the dealership and the dealer can get the parts for you, according to Evo.
