Top Gear brings us a head-to-head clash between two of best supercars you can buy today: the Ferrari 296 GTB and the McLaren 750S. Both boasting exceptional engineering and drop-dead gorgeous exteriors, these machines are designed to push the boundaries of speed and handling.
On paper, the Ferrari has the horsepower advantage thanks to its hybrid setup producing a combined 819 horsepower and 546 lb-ft of torque compared to the twin-turbocharged V8 in the McLaren 750S, 740 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. However, the McLaren counters with a lighter curb weight (1277 kg vs 1470 kg for the Ferrari) due to its extensive use of carbon fiber.
To find out which of them truly delivers the best driving experience, Top Gear’s Ollie Marriage and Jethro Bovingdon take these two supercars for a drive both on the road and on the track!
