The Alfa Romeo2000 GTV of Glynn Allen harries the ex-works Triumph Dolomite Sprint of Simon & Alexander Drabble. The Coys 100 Trophy brought another very close race and a giant-killing performance from Peter Chambers’ Lotus Cortina who defeated the Mustang of Alex Thistlethwayte. The Lola Mk 1 Prototype of Keith Ahlers & Billy Bellinger achieved a win and a second place in the Stirling Moss Trophy races. The two Bond FJ cars use front wheel drive. Andrew Tart leads former F5000 racer Mike Walker. This 1958 lister ‘Knobbly’ of Peter Ratcliff and Luke Stevens looks rather more stylish than knobbly. This 1962 Lightning Envoyette Junior driven superbly by Peter Morton followed Andrew Hibberd’s Lotus 22 home in both rear-engined FJ encounters. This must be the flatest, lowest Formula Junior car – Chris Drake’s Elva 300 leads Robert Hoemke’s Lola Mk5A. Tiff Needell drove John Spiers ‘Knobbly’ Lister jaguar with customary panache.
