Ferrari has just introduced their latest model, the 296 GTB, and while it does come with ‘only’ a V6 engine, it gets a 164 hp (122 kW) extra push thanks to a rear e-motor, total output of this brand new supercar from Maranello adds up to 818 hp (610 kW), a top speed in excess of 330 km/h (205 mph) is possible while going to 100 km/h from 0 is done in a mere 2.9 seconds, which matches the F8 Tributo.
Enjoy this official Ferrari recording from their live presentation earlier today:
As we’ve seen before from Ferrari, the name is a combination of the engine’s displacement of 2,992 cc and the number of cylinders, which leads to 296, the GTB suffix naturally stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta, I wonder when the 296 GTS will be unveiled, I like my cars to be convertible, so I can’t wait to see the latter in the near future.
