Bugatti unveiled something truly amazing at the 2022 Monterey Car Week, the swansong for the W16 engine, but a sheer beauty nonetheless, the Bugatti Mistral, which happens to be an open-top version based on the Chiron carbon-fiber monocoque, but it’s not just a Chiron with the roof cut away, and get this, production is limited to just 99 units … but there is no need to rush to your local dealership as all of them are already sold, each at €5 million, which converts to about $5.1 million at the current exchange rate.
“For the final road-going appearance of Bugatti’s legendary W-16 engine, we knew we had to create a roadster,” Bugatti Rimac CEO Mate Rimac said in a statement. “Well over 40 percent of all Bugatti vehicles ever created have been open-top in design, establishing a long lineage of performance icons that—to this day—are revered the world over.”
We’ll do a more in-depth article on this amazing car later, but for now, you can see the car being unveiled in California narrated by Tim, aka Shmee150:
