Remember the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERBLACK we’ve posted a while ago? An 800 hp off-road pickup truck based on the famous Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV that was finished in BRABUS traditional black, both on the inside and on the outside, well this massive truck now has a sibling, and Brabus might have been a little lost for names, so they call it the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERWHITE, and yes … this one is white, both on the interior and exterior, and I’m sure this look will tempt a lot of customers in the Middle East a lot more than a black car, they tend to prefer light-colored vehicles in that region.
The BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP SUPERWHITE is finished in a special “Diamond White Pearl” paint, so it’s not a normal white, but a pearlescent shade and they do look amazing in bright sunlight, and this car isn’t just a Mercedes-AMG G63 with the rear section of the roof cut away, BRABUS actually lengthens the original SUV by 50 cm (20 in) to keep the original space for the rear passengers inside their custom-built cabin, while still offering a spacious rear bed section on this Adventure series.
With this increased wheelbase, the overall length of the BRABUS 800 Adventure grows to 5.31 meters or 209 inches, note that the bedsides are made from carbon fiber by CSP, a BRABUS business division, while the bed liner is made from Flexi Teak, the same material used for the high-performance boats from BRABUS Marine, the bright white body contrasts heavily with the matt black painted bars behind the cabin, also on top of this Adventure you can have an optional tent fitted.
To make sure the BRABUS 800 Adventure can travel just about any terrain they opted for portal axles, the result is a ground clearance of no less than 49 cm or 19.2 in, but this also required BRABUS to create a bespoke Coilover suspension that still retains the height-adjustability seen on the original G63 SUV, the Dynamic Select suspension offers different settings for the titanium-coated struts, adapting the damping, powertrain, steering and assistance systems for various driving conditions.
Another bespoke part developed for the BRABUS Adventure are the impressive Monoblock HD alloy wheels, these come with an 8-bolt pattern to be able to fit the portal axles, 9.5×22 inch on all four corners, fitted with Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires in a massive 325/55 R 22 size that is able to fill those carbon fiber wheel arch extensions very nicely, keep in mind these add no less than 11.7 cm (or 4.6 in) to the overall width of the G-model, the same lightweight carbon fiber material can be found on the hood air intake, the wind deflector, radiator grille surround, side mirrors, and even on the panel on the rear hatch, complete with BRABUS embossed logo.
Because of the raised ride height, it might be more difficult to enter the BRABUS 800 Adventure XLP Superwhite they fitted a pair of running boards that lower when you open the doors, these even hold LED lights to offer some help when parked in a dark garage, once you open the heavy doors on this pickup truck you are greeted with a mostly White Heat leather upholstery inside the SUPERWHITE, but there are some parts kept in black leather, like the upper part of the dashboard, believe me, having that in white too will be terrible driving in the sunlight, the reflections in the windshield will almost blind you, a good idea was the use of black leather for the floormats, imagine those being white too.
The use of white leather combined with black leather and clear carbon fiber creates a stunning contrast inside the SUPERWHITE, BRABUS even added embossed “77” signets as an homage to the founding of the company back in 1977, while other parts like the air vents, switches, bezels, and loudspeaker grills were finished with precisely color-matched white glazing, the seats feature the BRABUS Double Cube stitching pattern.
The original G63 4-Liter, twin-turbo V8 engine was uprated with the BRABUS PowerXtra B40S-800 performance upgrade, changes to the engine hardware include the turbocharging system, by fitting two newly configured BRABUS high-performance turbochargers, complete with a larger compressor unit and modified core assembly and reinforced axial bearings, the result is a maximum boost pressure of 1.6 bar, while the BRABUS Boost Xtra ensures that the forced-induction engine produces a clearly audible blow-off noise when the driver lifts off the gas.
But you’ll really need to add the BRABUS Stainless sport exhaust to make sure your neighbors really don’t like you in the morning when you leave the house in this truck, but fear not, there is an electronically controlled sound management system with a “coming home” setting that closes the valves inside the custom exhaust, so you don’t wake up the kids, the two side-mounted tailpipes on either side of the car not only sound good, they look even better with an exposed carbon surround that features integrated launch ambiance lights, they light up red when the interior lights are activated.
The power output of 800 hp (588 kW) and a massive peak torque of 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) makes this one of the most powerful off-road trucks in the world, with all-wheel drive this behemoth can reach 100 km/h from 0 in just 4.8 seconds, you can imagine this wreaks havoc on those expensive tires, and to keep them lasting just a little longer, BRABUS has electronically limited the top speed of this beast to just 210 km/h or 130 mph, and just in case you are wondering, this white lady will set you back €631,067 before taxes, that’s about US$700,000.
