The Jaguar C-X75 concept was unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, featuring an innovative supercar design powered by a hybrid system with four electric motors and two diesel turbines for recharging. The C-X75 was slated for production but it the project was ultimately canceled.
The car later gained recognition in the 2015 James Bond film Spectre, where it was driven by the villain Mr. Hinx (played by Dave Bautista) in a thrilling chase through Rome. For the film, Williams Advanced Engineering created four cars with custom tubular spaceframe chassis and rally-style suspension. Unlike the original hybrid concept, these stunt cars were equipped with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8.
After the film, the stunt cars were sold to private collectors. Recently, Ian Callum’s design firm modified one of these rare C-X75s to make it road-legal. This transformation required hundreds of changes, including new glass, overhauled interior, a catalytic exhaust manifold, suspension adjustments, and recalibration of the V8, now paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The Willow Green paintwork alone took over 1,000 hours to complete and includes active aerodynamics. While Callum Designs hasn’t revealed the project’s pricing, it’s expected to be quite expensive. The car was transformed at the request of the current owner, who is likely thrilled with how it turned out to be.
