The Elegance at Hershey (2018) – The Winners

One of the great things about having a concours in the gardens of The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is that there is only room for 60 or so automobiles.  That allows the organizers the opportunity to be very selective when it is time to select cars for the concours.  Every year, The Elegance at Hershey brings together a varied assortment of some of the best cars in North America, and this year was no exception. Significant road cars, race cars, and even a bus were in the gardens this year.  The bus, a 1912 Little Giant Model D, had an access door in the back that included a stained glass rose in its window.  Many of the “usual” marques were on the field – Packard, Pierce Arrow, Delahaye, Rolls-Royce, Maserati, Auburn, LaSalle.  But the organizers always seem to be able to find a few examples of automobiles, such as Carroll, S.G.V., and Fina Sport that were new to most of the spectators and, probably, many of the entrants.

Profits from the event go to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, and Antique Automobile Club of America Library and Research Center.
