The brand new Ferrari Purosangue has just been unveiled, and no, this isn’t an SUV, this is a FUV, a Ferrari Utility Vehicle, and it is also the first four-door, four-seat Ferrari, and more importantly, it comes with a 715 hp V12 engine and what we know as suicide doors, and I love that special way of getting into the rear seats, only two on this press release car, but they look amazing, very body-hugging, and I guess that is needed with the performance this spacious Ferrari offers, this new Prancing Horse will reach 100 km/h (or 62 mph) from 0 in just 3.3 seconds, and she keeps going until she reaches 193 mph, which is just 3 mph faster than the Lamborghini Urus Performante, which comes with the same acceleration figure to 100 km/h at 3.3 seconds, but does so from ‘just’ a twin-turbo V8 with 657 hp, considerably less, which means the Urus is still very, very close to its new rival from Maranello.
I do have to admit the interior of the presentation car for the Ferrari Purosangue comes with an amazing-looking interior, a lot more aggressively styled when compared to the Super SUV from Sant’Agata, and I’m sure once the first press cars are made available, that will be one of the first tests we’ll see out there, a comparison between this new Ferrari Purosangue and the Lamborghini Urus Performante, probably even the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, but for now let’s indulge ourselves in our extensive gallery of official media photos from Ferrari themselves:
