The Baillon Collection – Auction
Today Artcurial announced they have unearthed The Baillon Collection and will offer it at their upcoming Retromobile Auction.
Mr Baillon was an avid collector of French and Italian cars including the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider and 1956 Maserati A6G Gran Sport Frua which were the only car blessed with dry storage.
Outside and under corrugated metal sat the rest of the collection ranging from prewar cars up to three extravagant Talbot-Lagos.
All together it’s one of the greatest whole collections to emerge into to public light among Michel Dovaz’s Sleeping Beauties and the Schlumpf in Mulhouse which absorbed in John Shakespeare’s Bugatti collection.
