2020 Porsche Macan GTS

The Audi SQ5 Had Better Watch Out

Porsche has more competition than ever before for its SUVs. The 2020 Porsche Macan GTS is here to respond to other high-powered SUVs like the Audi SQ5. The vehicle has received some updates to keep it as the important vehicle it is in the segment. The vehicle gets a new engine, some new design tweaks, and some minor interior updates.

The new 2020 Macan gets a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6. It’s the same engine that’s in the range-topping Turbo model. The engine in the GTS makes 375 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque.

That allows the Macan to sprint from 0-62 mph in a quick 4.7 seconds. The vehicle’s top speed is now 162 mph. That new engine makes the vehicle quicker, in part, due to the revised dual-clutch PDK transmission. This is the true driver’s Macan, though if you really want a driver’s car, you should just buy a 911. Still, loads of people like the Macan and it is a quick crossover.

The GTS comes with the Sport Design package as standard. This design package offers a new front and rear bumper, more aggressive side skirts, and black trim all over the vehicle. Also standard is a sports exhaust system, 20-inch RS Spyder wheels, and Porsche Active Suspension Management which has been recalibrated. The model also gets sport seats and a GTS-specific steering wheel. You can get a slew of options for the vehicle including active air suspension and tungsten carbide coated brakes.

The vehicle comes with a $72,650 starting price tag. Obviously, with options, you can push that price well above that.
