Testing the Real-World Usability of the Aston Martin Valkyrie

The Aston Martin Valkyrie is a rare road-legal hypercar born from a collaboration between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing, with aerodynamics expert Adrian Newey heavily involved.

Powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter Cosworth V12 engine, it produces 1,140 horsepower with assistance from a hybrid system. The Valkyrie accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and has a top speed exceeding 400 km/h.

Its design prioritizes aerodynamic efficiency and weight reduction, resulting in a car weighing just 1,270 kilograms without fluids. The Valkyrie’s exterior is as dramatic as its performance, featuring hollowed sides, a complex front spoiler, and a rear diffuser. It delivers an intense, race car-like driving experience, and all 150 units were quickly sold, making it a highly sought-after vehicle.

The car was designed to be as close to a Formula 1 car as possible while remaining street legal, the Valkyrie was put to the test on public roads by Jethro Bovingdon of Top Gear Magazine to demonstrate its real-world usability.
