Sports Cars from the 2014 Monaco Historics
With Monaco GP starting up on Thursday we thought it would be nice to feature the Sports Cars (Class C) from the 9e Grand Prix de Monaco Historique held last weekend.
The sports car class is an hommage to the 1952 Monaco GP which was run for sports cars and won by Vittorio Marzotto in a Ferrari 225S against an armada of Aston Martin DB3s, Jaguar C-Types and Talbot-Lagos.
The 2014 historic race was open to sports racing cars that raced from 1952 to 1955. This meant cars such as the Frazer Nash Le Mans and numerous one-of Coopers were allowed to race even though they were not of a type that raced the 1952 event.
Our gallery from Monaco features some epic photography by Loïc Kernen who also did a pit walk for us.
