Arizona Auction Week is held each January in Scottsdale, Arizona. The 2012 edition saw the auction houses collectively offer more than 2,500 lots, with the sales total eclipsing $180 million. Barrett-Jackson reported more than $90 million in auction results for the week, while Gooding and Company took home the prize for the highest individual sale price, the $4,620,000 for an alloy-bodied Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing.
Arizona Auction Week is big business, to be sure, but it’s also a visual treat for classic car enthusiasts. In addition to our summary report and individual auction reports from Barrett-Jackson, Bonhams, Gooding and Company and RM Auctions, we offer the following gallery of photos that give an overview of the many automotive sights to be found in Scottsdale and Phoenix during Arizona Auction Week 2012.
