Limited Edition Mustang Sculpture
For many fans of automotive design, the vintage Ford Mustang has long been considered a rolling work of art. Now, the iconic pony car has become a piece of fine art. As part of the 50 years of Mustang celebrations, U.K.-based artist Robin Bark has been licensed by Ford Motor Company to turn the Mustang into a limited-edition collectible sculpture cast in aluminum. Each casting is polished to a finished piece that is signed and numbered by the artist and placed in a commemorative wood box. No more than 500 of the 1965 Mustang fastback sculptures will be produced, and will be available through the artist’s website, www.robinbark-motorart.com.

The Classic Cars Book René Staud
Text by Jürgen Lewandowski
New additions to the automotive market are judged primarily by efficiency or fuel consumption. Things are quite different for historical cars. Major car shows, from Pebble Beach to Villa d’Este, feature classic cars that, although they may not achieve top marks in the wind tunnel, have a timeless elegance that makes the hearts of all aficionados skip a beat. The photographer Ansel Adams, who was an honorary judge at Pebble Beach, once defined them as, “The type of vehicle I would like to be buried in.” From the Maserati Ghibli to the BMW 328 and Cisitalia, René Staud has shot automotive classics in settings ranging from the subtle to the spectacular. As co-organizer and head of the Car Selection Committee for Schloss Bensberg Classics, Jürgen Lewandowski provides brief supporting text for the images (presented in English, German, French, Russian and Chinese!) The Classic Cars Book conveys a real passion for these spectacular vehicles, appealing both to existing fans and those yet to fall under their spell. Large format, hardcover, 304 pages with 150 color photographs.
