Yesterday marked another victory for Audi at the 12 Hours of Sebring in Florida, but the big story went to the GT2 class when Risi Competizione’s Jaime Melo beat Jorg Bergmeister by 0.20 seconds – the closest finish in Sebring History!
The two were side-by-side into the final turn and made contact as Melo edged across the line to victory.
Acura’s new program paid off, and the Andretti Green team won the LMP2 class, both the engine and team showing a remarkable debut. They were in contrast to the one year old Porsche RS effort which was plagued by electrical and other problems.
Today we have prepared a small gallery that includes the pre-race testing and some shots taken during the 12 hours. Look out for our Amelia Island Gallery really soon.
