The second-generation Ford GT, inspired by the iconic GT40, was initially designed for racing before being adapted into a street-legal supercar. Its return to competitive motorsports was marked by a double-podium finish at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans, celebrating 50 years since the GT40’s historic win.
With a design that seamlessly blends aerodynamics and aesthetics, the Ford GT was first launched with a 647-horsepower, twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. By 2020, upgrades boosted its power to 660 horsepower, along with enhanced torque, improved pistons, and a titanium Akrapovič exhaust system.
To honor Alan Mann Racing, a key player in the GT40’s success during the 1960s, Ford released 30 limited Alan Mann Heritage Edition GTs. These special models feature the distinctive red and gold livery, accented with carbon fiber elements, 20-inch wheels, and Brembo brakes. Inside, the cabin is outfitted with carbon fiber and Ebony Alcantara, accented with red and gold stitching as a nod to the car’s racing legacy. Exclusive details include Alan Mann Red paddle shifters and a personalized roundel.
This 2022 Ford GT is one of the 30 Alan Mann Heritage Editions produced to commemorate the lightweight 1966 GT40 experimental race cars built by Alan Mann Racing. The car is finished in Alan Mann Red with gold and Frozen White stripes, as well as #16 roundels, and features an Ebony Alcantara interior with gold and red stitching. The twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 delivers 660 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Additional features include the Gloss Exterior Carbon-Fiber Package, 20-inch exposed carbon-fiber wheels, six-point harness anchors, red paddle shifters, Akrapovič titanium exhaust, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a retractable rear wing, Sparco seats, and a touchscreen infotainment system.
