In this video from AutoTrader, they lined up a Porsche 911 GT3 against a BMW M4 CSL in a drag race with Rory Reid driving the Porsche while Alex Kersten took the wheel of the BMW.
Both vehicles have six-cylinder engines, automatic gearboxes, and a rear-wheel-drive layout, but the M4 CSL has the advantage with its twin-turbo setup, producing 550 hp and 650 Nm of torque compared to the GT3’s naturally aspirated flat-six engine that generates 510 hp and 465 Nm of torque.
The Porsche is available with a six-speed manual transmission, but the one featured in this comparison test comes with the seven-speed PDK to level the playing field. Although the BMW has more power, the Porsche is significantly lighter, weighing only 1,435 kg, which is 190 kg less than the BMW.
