Over the weekend, testing days for the LeMans Series (LMS) was ongoing. Around 35 cars were present to prepare for the upcoming season, and of them Peugeot’s new 908 Coupe became a hot topic.
Despite the non-competitive racing, laps were still timed and the Peugeot pulled in the best result. This is a good indication of where the car is headed in the LMES series, but when it comes to face Audi at Lemans there will be some fierce and established competition.
Many other manufacturers brought out some exciting new cars as well including Pescarolo’s self-built LMP1, Lola’s B07/17 and the Lavaggi which sadly dropped its Ford engine.
Today we have a gallery from the two test days shot by Dirk de Jager around the Paul Ricard circuit. Many of cars look at home on the advanced test track which features oversize runoff areas and signature abrasive strips. With a total lack of gravel and smooth racing surface, this circuit is ideal for all kinds of motor sports testing.
