The second-generation Ford GT, produced in 2005 and 2006 to commemorate Ford’s 100th anniversary, saw a total production run of 4,038 units. This success likely paved the way for the creation of the third-generation GT, which was unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The third-generation Ford GT features a carbon fiber passenger cell and structural carbon fiber body panels. Since 2020, it has been powered by a mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine, generating 660 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque, and is mated to a Getrag 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Currently available for sale on Bring A Trailer, this nearly new 2022 Ford GT has only 15 miles on the odometer. It is finished in Liquid Red Tri-Coat with a Dark Energy interior, featuring Sparco seats, six-point harness anchors, and a touchscreen infotainment system.
Additional highlights include a $15k Gloss Exterior Carbon Fiber Package, an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, 20″ gloss forged wheels, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, butterfly doors, and a retractable active rear wing. The sale also includes the Ford GT ordering kit, window sticker, and a battery maintainer.
