Montreal F1 Weekend Supercar Photos
When F1 invades, a city can be transformed into a rolling car show. The Montreal Grand Prix is a good example of this and brings in supercars from across Canada and America.
The weekend started at Ferrari of Quebec’s evening gala and continued in closed off streets that welcomed cars of all shapes and sizes. We spotted a Koenig 512, a Merc SLR 722 and even the new T-rex Aero!
BMW had a particularly impressive display that included one of the coveted McLaren F1 GTRs. Alonside it were other highnotes of BMW performance like one of the few CSL Batmobiles made for the IMSA series.
We’ve seen the same CSL in many photos at events including the Monterey Historics, and now we can assemble a little of what we have. Back in 2004, three of the four IMSA cars were at Monterey and we now feature the two that still have their original bodywork.
While we wait for images from the SPA Italia, Scarsdale Concours, Pagani Tour and Ault Park Concours, here is a quick gallery of Monreal’s madness. All images were shot by Richard Owen, Josh McRae and Stephan Bauer.
