Let’s just say you’ve got about $600,000 available to buy yourself a new car, what would you go for? Unfortunately, a new Lamborghini Revuelto will be just out of reach, but if you turn to the competition (no pun intended), you could invest that money into a 2024 Ferrari 812 Competizione, the even faster version of the Superfast, which still comes with a massive V12 engine up front, yes, the 812 Competizione is still a kind of GT model with a long nose over a thundering V12 engine delivering 820 hp to the wheels, I’m sure that’s enough to make an everlasting impression behind the steering wheel of this Prancing Horse.
The Ferrari 812 Competizione doesn’t come with a rear window, instead, there is a carbon fiber panel with fins installed for improved airflow, naturally, there is a rearview camera fitted to make sure you can park your $600,000 supercar without hitting the expensive rear bumper against something. The differences between the Superfast and the Competizione don’t end there, the latter comes with a larger carbon fiber rear diffuser in a much more aggressive styling, just like the ‘ducktail’ rear spoiler that has been enlarged on the Competizione.
At the front, there is now a carbon fiber ‘fin’ running from the left to the right on the hood, which ties in with the deeper front bumper, again with more aggressively styled air intakes finished in carbon fiber, and get this, the Ferrari 812 Competizione is a limited production model, only 999 units of this coupe model will be built, and just 599 units of the 812 Competizione A or Aperta, the convertible version, and both have an interior that has been stripped to safe weight, you get two carbon fiber sport seats with Alcantara upholstery while the central console, the door panels, and the dashboard all get a lot of carbon fiber parts combined with Alcantara and lightweight cloth … everything in the name of performance and weight savings.
But let’s take a look at what Doug DeMuro thinks about this $600,000 V12 monster in his latest review video:
