A Fine Name
McLaren has been working on a car known as the BC-03 for some time now, and we knew that it wouldn’t be called BC-03 forever. Now, according to The Supercar Blog, we know the car’s name will be Sabre.
The blog shared some photos that were circulating around the Web. In those photos, you can clearly see a flag behind the car that reads Sabre. This would suggest that will be the name of the car.
The car has been showcased in digital renderings, spotted with a camo wrap, and speculated on for quite some time. According to the blog noted that McLaren could reveal the model at any time. It will be made in limited production, and the company will build only 15 cars. Each of these cars will cost around $3.5 million.
The car was rumored to be released at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, however, that show—like so many others—was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
There aren’t too many things known about the car, but it will have a high-powered hybrid powertrain and be one of the craziest cars that McLaren has ever built. More information will come at a later date.
