Headed to the UK
Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT) is the company behind the new Stratos. The car is based on the Ferrari F430, but heavily modified to resemble and drive like the old Lancia Stratos from the 70s that dominated the World Rally Championships. The new Stratos has already been revealed, but it will make its UK debut at the Salon Privé, according to Carscoops.
“We are happy and proud to showcase our New Stratos for the first time in the UK in such an iconic landmark. Salon Privè is the perfect fit for our cars and for the kind of experience we always try to offer to our clients: we look forward to presenting the New Stratos in September in Blenheim Palace,” said MAT marketing manager, Riccardo Garella.
The new car is being put out by MAT after the German company New Stratos granted MAT the rights to produce the car. For those who don’t know the MAT Stratos will have a Ferrari 4.3-liter V8 that makes 540 hp. That car will get you to 62 mph from a standstill in 3.3 seconds and max out at 170 mph.
With just 25 examples being built, it will be super rare and so we are thrilled to be able to show the car to our guests, many of whom are collectors of limited production supercars,” said Salon Prive sales director, David Bagley.
