Manthey Kit Undergoes Real World Evaluation

Popular YouTuber savagegeese provides a deep-dive into the Manthey Kit's tangible benefits

For those who don’t know savagegeese, they’re most famous for their work on the eponymously named YouTube channel. Their documentary-style approach to car reviewing has garnered close to 800,000 subscribers on YouTube alone, where they strike a wonderful balance with cinematic production quality and in-depth technical/engineering analysis.

In one their most recent videos, the savagegeese crew collaborated with the Manthey team—some of whom I’ve also had the pleasure of working with personally—who flew in from Germany for a rendezvous at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois.  The video, which is almost 40 minutes long, starts off with presenter Jack Holmes remarking that “…this is about to be a very long, very technical, nerdy video, on a very expensive niche product…” leaving very little up in the air in terms of what you should be expecting.

While the platform used exclusively for this analysis is the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, the overall findings are likely translatable on a 1:1 basis across the Manthey Kit product line. Each Kit—whether it’s for the GT4 or, all the way up to the GT2 RS—shares the same philosophy and adds similarly meaningful improvements to the production car platform they’re made for. As mentioned already, it’s a really comprehensive production, covering everything from Manthey’s company history, how they engineer their parts, to of course, setting lap times and then analyzing the data.

Ultimately, the Manthey car is faster—but that’s hardly a spoiler. The real question is: “is it worth the money?”. Watch to find out. Enjoy!
