The Lime Rock Historic Festival 2015 was held September 4-7 at the 7-turn, 1.5 mile Lime Rock Park road course in Connecticut. Lime Rock Park’s 33rd annual Labor Day weekend event featured a strong field of more than 260 vintage race cars grouped in nine racing classes.
Historic Festival 33 celebrated a selection of Mercedes-Benz racing automobiles and the collection of Honored Collector Jim Taylor. In addition, Sir Stirling Moss and wife Lady Susie were featured guests at this year’s Historics, with Sir Stirling signing autographs and driving demonstration laps in the 1914 Mercedes Grand Prix and 1939 Mercedes W154 Silver Arrow Grand Prix.
Notable and interesting entrants at the Lime Rock Fall Festival 2015 included the 1964 Porsche 904 GTS of Sandra McNeil; 1929 Bentley 4.5-Litre of George Holman; 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C-35 of Peter Greenfield; 1961 Porsche RS-61 driven by Roger Mandeville; 1957 Maserati 300S of Camilo Steuer; 1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa of Tony Wang; 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta ‘Interim’ of Lulu Wang and 1958 Devin SS of James Freeman; among others.
