A Crazy Coupe
The Karma SC2 Coupe is different than the company’s other cars. It’s a beast. The car is said to feature cutting-edge technology that will inform the company’s future designs. There are two electric motors mounted in the rear of the car that make 1,100 hp and 10,500 lb-ft of torque. That is an absolutely stupid amount of torque, but Carscoops reached out to Karma to make sure it was correct, and that number was confirmed. Good torque-loving God.
The car can do a 0-60 mph run in under two seconds. It’s not just about straight-line speed, though. The car can do 350 miles on a single charge. That’s a long way between charging up. The car also features carbon-ceramic brakes for proper stopping power, pushrod racing-style suspension, and a torque-vectoring gearbox that will come in handy in the twisties.
One of the most interesting aspects of this car is the Drive and Play feature. The car records your drives via a high-definition camera so that you can re-live your previous drives. You get to have a simulated driving experience within the vehicle. This will allow you to fine-tune your driving skills, too.
The car also features fingerprint technology and facial recognition sensors as well as biometric seats and steering wheel. The car comes with a 3D audio system that has different zones for the driver and passenger and even the glass is special, with a unique electro-chromatic glass that can go from clear to opaque. This is the future of motoring.
