“Great Scot” Artwork
Artist John Ketchell captures a fleeting impression of Scotland’s first World Champion.
Racing for Lotus in Formula One from 1960 to 1968, Jim Clark won his first Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps in 1962 and was crowned World Champion in 1963. He went on to win 25 Grands Prix, a second World title in 1965, also adding the Indianapolis 500 in that year. He remains the only driver ever to have won the F1 title and Indy 500 race in the same season.
