When Jack Brabham was demobbed from the Royal Australian Air Force in 1947, even he did not realize he was about to establish an Australian motor racing dynasty, but that is exactly what he did. Jack would win no fewer than three Formula One World Championships, the last in 1966 in the most pleasing way of all—driving a car of his own construction.
His eldest son Geoff was the 1979 SCCA Super Vee champion, won the 1981 Can-Am Championship and, remarkably, won four consecutive IMSA GTP titles between 1988 and 1991; son Gary was the 1989 British Formula 3000 Champion; David won the 1987 Formula Pacific Championship, was the 1989 British F3 champion, won the 1996 Japanese GT title with John Nielson and became the 1998 IMSA GT champion with Andy Wallace.
