This red 1965 Alfa Romeo is a GTA…“Gran Turismo Alleggerito”…literally, a lightened (“alleggerito”) grand touring car. Here, it’s about to overtake two cars in Sonoma’s Turn 2.
#158 is a 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, an open-top car with a body by Pinin Farina. The name “Spider” doesn’t refer to the arachnid. Rather, it’s an informal Italian expression for “convertible.”

Robert Stoker’s 1956 Alfa Romeo Giulietta 750 Spider is the oldest known Giulietta still racing. Its name, Il Postino (“The Postman”), is a tribute to Rick Beress, the car’s previous owner and the long-time postmaster for Grass Valley, CA.
This stunning TR 61 is the Frankenstein of Ferraris. Built from an assortment of original Ferrari pieces and parts, this 1961 car evolved from the 250 Testarossa. It was assembled between 1991 and ’94. Whether rolling on the road or standing still in the garage, this Ferrari just looks fast.
