The Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) 12 Hours of Sebring race was held March 12-15, 2014 at the Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, Florida. Held in conjunction with the 62nd annual 12 Hours of Sebring, the HSR vintage car races were staged on the same 3.7 mile, 17-turn circuit that is home to the famed endurance race won this year by the Chip Ganassi Racing Riley DP.
Among the more than notable entries at the 2014 running of the HSR Twelve Hours of Sebring included the Jagermeister-liveried 1979 Porsche 935 K3; 1973 BMW 3.5 CSL; 1969 Ford GT40 Mk II; 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and a slew of Porsche 911 variants.The Sebring Hall of Fame Gallery of Legends display included the 1975 Sebring-winning BMW 3.5 CSL; the 16-cylinder 1969 Porsche 917 PA; 1969 Lola T70 Mk3B; 1979 Brumos Porsche 935; IMSA GT Championship-winning 1970 Porsche 911S; 1986 Porsche 962 and 1991 Porsche 911 Turbo S2.
Major kudos for Scott Hughes competing in the HSR Sebring historic races with his BMW CSL race car, straight off the show field at the Amelia Island Concours where the famed CSL finished 2nd in class for BMW CSLs. Hughes’ 3.0-liter BMW was built in 1972 to compete in FIA Group 2, later bringing the 1973 European Sedan Championship to Dieter Quester and Toine Hezemans.

Similar to the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Sebring 12 Hour races, photographer Michael DiPleco documented the 2014 HSR 12 Hours of Sebring vintage races with the following pictures that capture the late day sun and line-up of race cars that tackled the Sebring track.
