The 2013 Mecum Daytime Auction held during August’s Monterey Car Week, saw more than 700 collector cars—50 of which were Porsches—cross the auction block for a grand total of over $31 million in sales.

Top lot of the multi-day sale went to a 1955 Porsche 550/1500 RS Spyder, which sold for an impressive $3.75 million, making it the most valuable 550 ever sold at auction. The second spot in Mecum’s top-10 list was claimed by yet another racecar, the Gulf-sponsored 1961 Chevrolet Corvette, which sold for $1.4 million, while a one-owner, 500 original-mile 1990 Ferrari F40 sold for $1,325,000 to claim the third highest lot of the auction.

Other notable sales included a 1930 Duesenberg Model J Torpedo Phaeton selling for $950,000, a 1964 Shelby 289 Independent Competition Cobra selling for $925,000, and a 1913 Packard Runabout Model I-38 hammering at $625,000.
