Bring A Trailer is currently auctioning a 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante with a rare gated manual transmission, reportedly one of only three delivered to the U.S., making it highly desirable among collectors.
Unveiled at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Gallardo Spyder 570-4 Performante became the top model in Lamborghini’s mid-engine convertible range. It combined the performance and handling upgrades of the Gallardo Superleggera coupe with the open-air experience of a drop-top.
Lamborghini engineers reduced the weight by 143 pounds through the use of lightweight materials. Carbon fiber was used for the engine cover, rear spoiler, diffuser, underbody panels, mirror caps, center tunnel, door panels, and seat shells. The 19-inch wheels also saved 29 pounds, with additional weight reduction from titanium bearings and bolts.
The car’s name reveals its performance characteristics: “LP” refers to the longitudinal positioning of the 5.2-liter V10 engine, while “570” denotes its power output in PS, and “4” indicates its rear-biased all-wheel-drive system.
The car features a central viscous coupling and a limited-slip differential on the rear axle, paired with a six-speed automated manual e-gear transmission. The Gallardo Spyder 570-4 Performante sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 201 mph.
With an aggressive front fascia and rear diffuser for improved aerodynamics, it also retains luxury features like dual-zone climate control, a multimedia navigation system, rear camera, and a front lift system for better ground clearance.
This particular example is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 mated to a gated six-speed manual transaxle. Finished in Nero Noctis with Nero Perseus Alcantara upholstery, it boasts a Lamborghini race exhaust system, limited-slip differentials, xenon headlights, a black soft top, a fixed rear wing, a backup camera, ceramic-composite brakes, 19” Scorpius wheels, a front-axle lift system, carbon-fiber sport seats, navigation, and cruise control.
