There’s Still Time
There are few cars as alluring as the Shelby Cobra, and there’s a seriously cool one for sale at Bring A Trailer right now. There are only a couple hours left on the auction, so you’ll need to act fast.
This Aluminum-Bodied Shelby Cobra 427 CSX4000 40th Anniversary Edition was completed on July 5, 2005, at Shelby American in Las Vegas, Nevada and has a beautiful polished aluminum body with brushed racing stripes running the length of the car.
The vehicle comes with a Shelby 427 FE stroker V8 with Holley four-barrel carburetors and a Toploader four-speed manual transmission. There are side-pipe exhausts, a chrome roll hoop, a glovebox door signed by Carroll Shelby, a Statement of Origin, and a clean Alaska title in the owner’s name.
This version of the Shelby Cobra was announced in 2002 and limited to 40 examples split between two versions. There was an aluminum-bodied version and a fiberglass-bodied version. This is one of five cars that was ordered in polished aluminum.
At the time of this writing, the bidding has climbed to $155,000 and there’s approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes left. I know that’s not a lot of time to think it over, but what’s there to think about? This is an impressive car in pristine condition. Check out the video and images below.
