To mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic Lamborghini Countach, the brand has reimagined the supercar with a bold new design that pays tribute to the groundbreaking model revealed in 1974. The name, derived from a Piedmontese expression of awe and surprise, remains intact, but the car has been thoroughly reworked to align with modern expectations.
The Countach LPI 800-4, building upon the legacy of its predecessor, establishes a new standard in automotive design that will influence future supercars, just as the original model did. Its presence is refined and mature, a more composed version of the bold Countach. The car’s carbon-fiber body is mounted on the Aventador chassis, paired with the hybrid powertrain from the Sián, which drives all four wheels. Inside, the cabin features smooth, flowing shapes that are both polished and more accommodating than the original.
With only 112 units built, the Countach LPI 800-4 is an extremely rare supercar. The example featured here, offered by Bring A Trailer, presents a unique opportunity for collectors. Purchased new by its current owner from the O’Gara Coach Company in Beverly Hills, California, this car has just 66 miles on the odometer.
The exterior is finished in white, showcasing the classic hexagonal wheel arches, scissor doors, front splitter, rear diffuser, and a three-position rear spoiler. The car also boasts an electrochromic roof panel, trapezoidal bi-LED headlights, hexagonal taillights, and quad exhaust outlets. It’s equipped with the Carbon Package 1, a $105,216 option, which includes exposed carbon fiber elements on the front spoiler, mirror caps, engine cover, rear diffuser, and NACA ducts on the doors.
The car rides on black-finished wheels with a “phone-dial” motif and features Pirelli P Zero tires. It has magnetorheological dampers, a front-lift system, dynamic steering, rear-wheel steering, and carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston at the rear.
Inside, the cabin is trimmed in black and red leather with Alcantara, complemented by carbon-fiber accents on the dash, doors, and console. The car has automatic climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system, a “1 di 112” console badge, and embroidered headrests.
The hybrid powertrain combines the V12 engine with a 48-volt electric motor, achieving a combined output of over 800 horsepower. This power is sent to all four wheels via an advanced all-wheel-drive system.
