FOR SALE: 2020 Ford GT Mk II Race Car

One of just 45 track-only examples

Unveiled at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Ford GT MK II is a track-focused version of the legendary GT, paying tribute to the original GT MK II that triumphed at Le Mans in 1966. Developed by Ford Performance and Multimatic, this version maximizes performance without the constraints of racing regulations.

Its carbon-fiber body houses a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6, producing 700 horsepower—53 more than the road car and nearly 200 above the race version. A reinforced seven-speed dual-clutch transmission transfers power to 19-inch Forgeline wheels, while a roof-mounted intake and water sprayer keep temperatures in check. The massive dual-element wing generates 400% more downforce than the road GT, with over 2.0 g of lateral grip.

This 2020 Ford GT Mk II, one of just 45 track-only examples, is currently listed for sale on Bring a Trailer. Engineered by Multimatic in Ontario, Canada, this high-performance machine was developed without race series restrictions, allowing for an uncompromised track experience. It is finished in White Water Pearl over a black race-ready interior and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle.

The Mk II generates four times the downforce of the road-going GT, thanks to an aggressive aerodynamic package. It features a redesigned carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, dual-element rear wing, dive planes, and fender louvers. A roof-mounted intake, front NACA duct, and additional auxiliary coolers enhance cooling. The carbon-fiber monocoque chassis is paired with billet-machined uprights and a pushrod suspension system.

It rides on Forgeline 19” forged wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport GT racing slicks, while Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes with a retuned Bosch ABS provide stopping power. Inside, it features fixed Sparco seats, a MoTeC data acquisition system, and a Multimedia carbon-fiber steering wheel. Safety features include an FIA-compliant roll cage and a fire suppression system.
